Before racing Motocross came into my life I tried many different sports, eg. horse riding (eventing), golf, rugby, soccer, athletics and swimming. For some years I even represented my school and City playing Field Hockey. It wasn't until one particular afternoon, when I was fortunate enough to ride my friends KX 125 around his farm, I got hooked on this new sport. Since my first ride on a Motocross bike, I have never looked back.

I was educated at King's College and then Senior College in Auckland.  I completed a short Engineering Course in 2002 at ATU, worked part-time for almost a year and have been doing as much riding as is possible in the Auckland area. I am about to start a three year Sport and Leisure degree at Waikato University.  My timetable allows me plenty of time to ride and train;  more, in fact, than I had while I was working part-time.  I will certainly have a lot more choice of tracks to ride in the Waikato than Auckland was able to offer !

My principal goal is to be a World Champion - once would be enough but several times would be even better !

I was selected as the National 500Class rider for the KTM New Zealand Race Team in September, 2003, and have been riding "Orange" since October, 2001.  My Team Members are Damon Smith in the 125cc Class and Sean Fogarty in the 250cc Class.  Both are great guys, great riders and this relatively new Team is starting to gel together very well.

My hobbies are Skiing, Fishing, Golf, surfing and Mountain Biking. I love mixing these great sports with work, training and leisure time. My favourite interests are Movies, Electronics, Cars and Computers.

My Jack Russell dog, SPROCKET, is now two years old and is a great companion. Mention the word "Motocross" and he's off to the Van - he loves going to the track !

My 2004 goal is to be in the top 3 by the end of the Nationals.  My 5th overall at Woodville last weekend confirms I am getting on the pace !  The KTM Team's SXS bikes arrive in early March so we are going to be very competitive !
